Ceud mile failte! -
A hundred thousand welcomes!

Two charming cottages in a stunning lochside location.

Summer, winter, autumn, spring, morning, noon and night, come snow or shine;
there is never a moment when the setting of the Carie Estate on the shores of Loch Rannoch is not simply breathtaking. Photographs barely begin to show the beauty and tranquillity of this magical place.

The Laird of Carie warmly invites you to come and experience all this for yourself in the comfort of either one of our two impeccably restored, stone-built, traditional cottages. Each cottage is available for let by the week throughout the year, and each has its own web page with photographs and further details - click on the Factor's House or Morag's Cottage link in the menu at the top of each page.

Both cottages are classified as 5 star by the Scottish Tourist Board. This rating is rarely given - there are fewer than 150 cottages so classified out of over 20,000 rental properties registered throughout Scotland.

Each friendly, warm and comfortable cottage has magnificent views to the loch, the forest and the mountains, and each sleeps 4 - 5 in comfort. In fact every window from both cottages has a fine view, even the bathrooms! They are both furnished with antiques and historic fittings, but each also has a fully-modernised, excellently equipped kitchen, really proper heating and a roaring log fire.

There are no hidden extra charges: heating, firewood, electricity, bed linen, towels and all domestic everyday household needs are supplied - just bring yourselves and something to eat! There are books, games, videos and DVDs. Each cottage has a video, DVD and CD player and a 21" colour TV - although reception is sometimes patchy in the winter!

Dogs are very welcome!
