A 200-year-old, stone-built, slate-roofed cottage on two floors in the traditional Perthshire style. The house has fine views up Coire Carie to the southern Rannoch mountains, and, to the west, views over fields to the loch and to the Black Wood of Rannoch. The house has been beautifully restored to provide comfortable, friendly and warm accommodation for four to five people, and is furnished with a mixture of antiques and family things.
Ground floor
The front door opens into the hallway, from which doors lead to the sitting room, the kitchen and the dining room. The spacious sitting-room is full of light: and enjoys the fine views south and west. There is an efficient open fireplace. The dining room has a table and chairs for eight, a carved antique storage cupboard and a comfortable sofa-bed.
The kitchen has been completely modernised and fully equipped with oven, hob with extractor hood, dishwasher, washer-dryer, 10.6 cu.ft fridge-freezer, microwave, food processor, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and glass for eight.
Upper Floor
There are two large bedrooms
- a double and a twin - with magnificent views to the south.
Each bedroom has ample storage space and is centrally heated. The beds and much of the furniture is antique.
The bathroom is panelled in the traditional Scottish manner and has a large bath
with an overhead shower. All the plumbing is modern,and hot water is constantly on tap.
